A Message from Major League Baseball

Now that the dust has settled and things are slowly getting back to some sort of organised chaos, I wish to sincerely thank you and the great people of the Preston Baseball Club for their efforts and support of the recent Claxton Shield series.

You and your club were amazing given the short lead up notification time for the games at La Trobe University. The way you and your members rallied time and time again was very much appreciated.

I think we achieved a lot this year, even though MLB might have been disappointed in the crowd numbers, I look at the glass being half full not half empty as we attracted more people than ever before to the sport using the tired and old brand of the Claxton Shield as the selling point. That in itself is a positive.

Please pass on my appreciation to all and sundry at the club for being such an important and significant part of this year's Claxton Shield.

Australian Winter Championships

Congratulations to Nick Djorgonoski & Marshall Skinner who has once again been selected for the Victorian Provincial team that will play in Geelong over Easter.
